Party the 'Tropezz' way

Partyphiles will always regard St. Tropez, a resort town on the edge of the
Côte d'Azur in the French Riviera, as the ultimate party destination --the playground for the moneyed few and celebrities alike. But whoever said, that partying hard means traveling a great distance and spending so much?

Tropezz Restaurant and Bar, located at the 2nd level of Greenbelt 3, Ayala Center Makati, lets you have all that fun and party satisfaction in without having to fly to the French territory. It is a perfect hangout –easily accessible, good company, perfect ambience, and  excellent, yet affordable, Filipino inspired International cuisine.

Tropezz  has burned itself into the consciousness of the discerning Manilenos. Currently making waves among the young, relatively young, and the not-so-young set,party-going Filipinos go to the restaurant in throngs and numbers since it opened in Feb. 19 this year.

One of the things that draws people to the newest party venue is its eclectic music offerings such as rock, bossanova, jazz, hiphop, R 'n B, and even retro 60s. Young and upcoming bands play every day of the week in a restaurant with the best light and sounds system in Greenbelt.

Since Tropezz opened its doors barely a year ago, groups and companies have made Tropezz their favorite venue. It has metamorphosed into a fashion runway, a prom, a rock concert  or simply a place for celebration and thanksgiving for .Tropezz stands on a more than 460 sqm space and can sit more than 250 persons, so the bar and restaurant can readily accommodate such big events.

Tropezz carries a full bar.Drinks are also aplenty and come in an array of choices uniquely Tropezz. Among its famous shooters (there are more than a dozen to choose from) is the Deep Throat. The cuisine, freshly  prepared fresh by 30-year-old Chef Dennis Villalobos and Ira Jimenez  is so exquisitely unique and delicious that one will have no leftovers, if not order for a takeout. The restaurant offers French and European food perfected with the Filipino palate in mind --what Tropezz calls, "the Filipino twist."

Its wide selection of food choices lets one have instant gratification whether one is craving for that perfect pulutan or a quick-meal.

Try the Tropezz sisig, made more interesting by mixing it with coconut milk instead of the usual mayonnaise; the calamares, with a specially concocted dressing; fish out of the water, which is kinilaw with coconut milk and topped with bits of chicharon. The Tropezz belly mucho, which comes with parsley rice, is also one of its best-sellers. It is a slow-roasted pork belly that literally melts in your mouth.
